Executive Advisory

Make the Technology Decision You Can Defend

Independent counsel for CEOs and leadership teams deciding where AI belongs, what to build or buy, and how to move from experimentation to responsible production. Oklahoma-rooted and selectively available nationwide.

The Questions Worth Resolving

Clarity Before Commitment

  1. Which AI opportunities are real enough to deserve attention now?

  2. Are we solving the right problem—or buying an impressive demonstration?

  3. What data, vendor, governance, and operational risks are we accepting?

  4. Should we build, buy, pilot, wait, or deliberately avoid this?

  5. What would it take for this system to survive contact with production?

A Practical Starting Point

AI Readiness & Governance Review

A focused review gives a leadership team an independent view of its AI opportunities, exposure, and next decisions. The work is scoped around the organization and the decision in front of it—not a generic maturity score.

Scope and format are established after an initial conversation, once the decision, stakeholders, and useful outcome are clear.

  • Leadership interviews and an inventory of current AI use and initiatives
  • Priority opportunity assessment tied to business value and feasibility
  • Review of data, privacy, vendors, governance, and production readiness
  • Build, buy, pilot, avoid, and sequencing recommendations
  • Executive briefing with a prioritized 90-day decision plan

Match the Work to the Decision

A focused working session for a leadership team that needs shared language, sharper priorities, and a clear decision frame.

Format 02

Independent Technology Advisor

Ongoing counsel for a CEO or executive team navigating vendors, architecture, risk, investment, and execution without adding another institutional agenda.

Format 03

Board AI Briefing

Private education and decision framing for directors who need to oversee AI opportunity and exposure without becoming technologists.

Where This Work Is Most Useful

Fit Matters

A strong fit

  • A consequential decision is approaching and the leadership team wants an experienced independent view
  • Experiments exist, but the path to durable production is unclear
  • The organization needs to connect opportunity, governance, and execution
  • Executives or directors need complexity translated into decisions they can own

Probably not the right fit

  • The desired answer has already been chosen and the assignment is to validate it
  • The primary need is staff augmentation or commodity implementation capacity
  • The organization wants an AI strategy detached from operating reality, accountability, or production constraints
Why Matthew

Advice Grounded in Operating Experience

Since 1995 my work has centered on the intersection of technology meets operating reality — architecting software, building teams, and helping organizations solve a diverse set of consequential problems. While leading Clevyr for the last seventeen years, our thirty-plus-person US-based team has delivered more than one hundred product systems, including compliance-sensitive work in energy, banking, and lobbying. That operating record is the solid ground beneath my advice: decisions have to work for real teams, real users, and real constraints.
